Please note that just like all driving schools and driving
instructors in the UK, we have a cancellation notice period
(24 hours) that is required to change / cancel or re-schedule
driving lesson appointments. If you change / cancel or
re-schedule your appointment for ANY REASON with less than
24 hours notice or you do not attend your driving lesson then
payment is still charged and due for that lesson in full whether
it is a 1 hour / 2 hour or 3 hour appointment, this applies to
pre-paid lessons and pay as you go lessons.
This is because
your driving instructor is self-employed and relies on each
appointment for their earnings. Your instructor does not
receive a wage from the driving school, the payments you
make for your lessons are their wages/earnings etc. Also your
instructor faces a constant challenge to fit a lot of pupils in for
lessons / driving tests with various availabilities into a tight
schedule where timing is very important. The cancellation
notice period for a driving test car hire booking is 3 working
days, the car hire fee needs to be prepaid to your driving
instructor (or to our office) 5 days before your driving test. If
the government (DVSA) cancel your driving test at short notice
then the car hire fee is still charged in full, but the DVSA offer
compensation to you directly for this fee. Thank you for your
understanding.
Kind Regards
